Thrive Documentary

Tuesday, November 15th, 2011

Thrive is a documentary created by Foster Gamble of the Procter & Gamble family. The film describes the underlying toroidal pattern of the universe that promises limitless clean energy, and the systematic suppression of this information by the financial elite, with an emphasis on practical solutions to benefit the planet.

Check out the official site at thrivemovement.com to support the creators by buying the film, view specific interviews with contemporary luminaries, and access pages that present a holistic worldview.

Here is a pod cast interview with Foster, covering his relationship to his family’s business, the inheritance that enabled his filmmaking, and summarizing the solutions.

The Gnostic Galactivation of the Juggalos

Thursday, July 21st, 2011

Warning! The following article contains dangerous amounts of freshness. Too much freshness has been known to explode the brain.

The Gathering of the Juggalos has been Galactivated (see the video below).

The Gathering of the Juggalos is an annual underground music festival taking place in Cave In Rock, Illinois.

Cave in Rock is a nexus point of geomantic energies. It is the point at which Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Missouri, and Arkansas conjoin in continental bliss. The Cave has traditionally been a hideout for river pirates, counterfeiters, serial killers, highwaymen and various other outlaw types.

It is also one of several entrances to the legendary city of Agartha inside the Hollow Earth.

The Juggalos (and Juggalettes) are an active sect of Rust Belt gnostics operating in the blighted suburbs of America’s Midwest.

The architecture of their gnosis is defined by the Dark Carnival, a revelation of the afterlife illuminated by the Juggalo prophet Violent J. The Dark Carnival was revealed to Violent J in a dream and expounded upon through a series of six albums. Each album embodies an archetype and relays a gospel of morality. Together the six albums make up the deck of Joker Cards.

The Joker Cards, like the Tarot, are used as a tool of divination and meditation among Juggalos on their path of gnosis. The archetypes of the Joker Cards include the Carnival of Carnage, the Ringmaster, the Riddle Box, The Great Milenko, the Amzaing Jeckel Brothers, and The Wraith (Death). The entities characterized in the Joker Cards are spirits that “try to save the human soul by showing the wickedness inside one’s self”.

“When you make the two into one, and when you make the inner like the outer and the outer like the inner, and the upper like the lower, and when you make male and female into a single one, so that the male will not be male nor the female be female, when you make eyes in place of an eye, a hand in place of a hand, a foot in place of a foot, an image in place of an image, then you will enter [The Dark Carnival].”

Through the cultivation of the Wicked Shit (their word for mana force) Juggalos are able to transcend their individuality and enter into a state a macrocosmic collective consciousness. Using the mantra “FAM-A-LEE” huge crowds of Juggalos can pool their consciousness into a non-linear energetic mass capable of contacting Galactic Races and generating huge amounts of garbage.

A sacramental baptism by Faygo (a holy corn-based beverage) is necessary for a candidate to become initiated into the Juggalo sect. Faygo is explosively distributed by the gnostic prophets Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope during their Insane Clown Posse concerts.

The Unveiling is the ultimate statement of Juggalo gnosis. The video below illustrates both the meaning and intent of the Juggalo prophets and their connection to the gnostic godhead.

All we’re doing is pointing this shit out to you, we in this together!
Who’s behind the Dark Carnival, thet Gatherings and the Hatchet?

The Art of Data

Thursday, April 28th, 2011

This short films goes into the creative process behind IBM’s data visualization campaign from last year. The artist’s take on how data is translated into code, animation and emotion is pretty superb. By shifting our awareness to the unseen spectrum of information that constantly surrounds us, we slice through the 3rd dimension and enter the invisible landscape.

And here’s the final product: Data Baby.

IBM has also put out some very good videos on the future of data. IBMer Jai Menon explains how recognizing patterns in data allows accurate predictions of future trends. A technology familiar to ALTA’s webbot project and the Twitter prophecy meter.

And as a final tie-in here’s a short video about IBM’s collaboration with NASA and 250,000 web volunteers to create Galaxy Zoo, a project classifying the shapes of the hundreds of thousands of galaxies captured by the Hubble telescope.

The Church of Data

Monday, April 18th, 2011

Leave it to Sweden to be the front runners in developing a religion devoted to sharing Data. The Church of Kopimism (Swedish language website) is the religious analogue of the Swedish Pirate Party.

Founded by 19-year-old philosophy student, Isaac Gerson, this brand new church believes that copying and the sharing of information is the most beautiful thing in the world. To have your information copied is a token of appreciation, say the church, a sure sign that people think you have done something good.

“In our belief, communication is sacred. Communication needs to be respected. It is a direct sin to monitor and eavesdrop on people. Absolute secrecy is holy in the Church of Kopimism.”

The church has its own set of axioms, most of which revolve around free access to knowledge and the sharing of information. They include:

# Reproduction of information is ethically right.
# The flow of information is ethically right.
# Remix Spirit is a sacred kind of copying.
# Copying or remixing information conveyed by another person is an act of respect.

Behind the Great Firewall

Saturday, January 22nd, 2011

A snapshot of a world power on the rise.

22 minute Documentary: The Great Firewall of China

In “Chinatown, Africa”, Vanguard correspondent Mariana van Zeller travels to Angola to investigate China’s rapidly growing presence in Africa. While many welcome China’s investment, others see reason for concern. Chinatown, Africa is revealing look at a growing superpower’s adventures abroad.

This documentary is an intense reminder that the stakes are high. Not for a weak stomach. Speaking of organs, $10 billion of them have been apparently harvested from political dissidents:

What do you think, Charlton Heston?

With all the explosive development occurring in the country, might there be a mental paradigm shift brewing among the people of the country? Or does the iron-clad censorship of the internet prevent it? Does a cultural shift to sustainable technology necessarily impart a corresponding shift towards sustainable consciousness?

Data Battle and ‘Operation Payback’

Wednesday, December 8th, 2010

The 4chan based hacker group Anonymous has knocked down the Mastercard website as well as the operations of Swiss bank as retribution for disallowing donations to WikiLeaks.

Shortly afterwards the Visa website was knocked out of commission as well.

Yesterday, Julian Assange turned himself in to Scotland Yard for a Swedish warrant based on dubious charges of sexual misconduct with a woman who has ties to the CIA.

Meanwhile to combat the possible shutdown of the WikiLeaks website, hundreds of mirror sites have sprung up.

Additionally, Assange has widely distributed an encrypted ‘insurance policy’ that contains uncensored files on Guantanamo Bay, BP, and Bank of America documents. Assange will release the 256-digit encryption key to the doomsday files if WikiLeaks is taken off the Internet or he is personally threatened.

Just to make everything more exciting, there’s also something about UFO’s in the next WikiLeaks release.

Update: Facebook has shut down the Anonymous fan page in response to their DDOS attacks on major credit card companies. Twitter has removed WikiLeaks from it’s top trending terms despite the fact that the #WikiLeaks hash tag has been the most popular term over the last week.

If you personally believe in the voice of WikiLeaks and the right to information then consider the battle lines that have been drawn. Facebook, Twitter, Visa, Mastercard, and the US government on one side – WikiLeaks and proponents of transparency and justice on the other.

For more discussion and ideas surrounding this topic Datachurch highly recommends checking out Twelve Theses on WikiLeaks from Reality Sandwich.

Interfacing the Singularity

Wednesday, December 8th, 2010

Just a reminder that we are all still hurtling towards technological omnipresence.

When anyone with an internet connection can fly their digital body anywhere in the world, and view live streaming video and data metrics of what is happening there, how will the global zeitgeist respond? How can these technologies be used for the benefit of all beings?
