Thrive Documentary

Tuesday, November 15th, 2011

Thrive is a documentary created by Foster Gamble of the Procter & Gamble family. The film describes the underlying toroidal pattern of the universe that promises limitless clean energy, and the systematic suppression of this information by the financial elite, with an emphasis on practical solutions to benefit the planet.

Check out the official site at thrivemovement.com to support the creators by buying the film, view specific interviews with contemporary luminaries, and access pages that present a holistic worldview.

Here is a pod cast interview with Foster, covering his relationship to his family’s business, the inheritance that enabled his filmmaking, and summarizing the solutions.

2012: Time For Change – From Conscious Evolution to Practical Solutions

Thursday, July 29th, 2010

“2012: Time for Change” presents an optimistic alternative to apocalyptic doom and gloom. Directed by Emmy Award nominee João Amorim, the film follows journalist Daniel Pinchbeck, author of the bestselling 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl, on a quest for a new paradigm that integrates the archaic wisdom of tribal cultures with the scientific method. As conscious agents of evolution, we can redesign post-industrial society on ecological principles to make a world that works for all. Rather than breakdown and barbarism, 2012 heralds the birth of a regenerative planetary culture where collaboration replaces competition, where exploration of psyche and spirit becomes the new cutting edge, replacing the sterile materialism that has pushed our world to the brink.

The trailer is brief, but the full film is galvanizing. Laced with great animation, it presents a view of the social phenomena that is 2012, highlighting the world’s current and impending traumas, and innovators who exemplify the means of transmuting global emergency into a terrific leap of (r)evolution.

The 2012: Time For Change site has lots of links, clips, galleries and even story boards. Check the ‘About’ section for an index of inspirational innovators and their contributions to society.

“Yellow Cake”

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

Yellow Cake is a animated short made by Nick Cross.

“It’s not really a call to action, it’s just sort of my thoughts about how we as a society view war. We are interested up to a point and then, since it doesn’t really affect us in our everyday lives, we get distracted and kind of forget that there is even a war still going on.”

Typographic Synesthesia

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

Typophile Film Festival 5 Opening Titles from Brent Barson on Vimeo.

An amazing video for the Typophile Film Festival – all done by hand (no CG!). Using words placed in sensory environments the film evokes sensations via letter combinations.

For anyone familiar with “The Invisibles” this video creates a nice counterpart to the hallucinogenic substance – Key 23. Key 23 allow the taker to see an object when presented with the word for that object. For instance the word “Bear” produces a vivid hallucination of a bear.

Synaesthetes often associate words with feelings, smells, colors, and sounds. This film beautifully connects text with texture.

The Vigilant Citizen

Monday, September 21st, 2009

The Vigilant Citizen is one of the most impressive websites active in the analysis and documentation of mystical symbology implanted in prominent architecture and culture. It is well composed and as unbiased an account of spooky shit as I’ve ever read.

Gems:
Astana, Kazakhstan – Sim City of the 21st Century

The Manitoba Legislature Building – Solomon’s Temple Reincarnate

Denver International Airport – A Vortex of Power

Rockefeller Center – We Bring Weird Things to Life

The Mormon Temple – “Hail Satan!”

Lady Gaga – Mind Control Role Model (by far the seemingly craziest at first but spectacularly well evidenced in the long run)

Admittedly these all have a leaning towards conspiracy theory. The importance of these articles beyond the facts and interpretation are the ideas. Ideas, either direct in art and architecture or subconsciously embedded in music and movies, have power. One way or another – this is all direct evidence of massive, organized power.
